THE CHALET PARK
Winterton Valley Chalet Park is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful scenery and long walks along the valley, dunes and beach. It has NO clubhouse, amusement arcades or bingo! It is an ideal holiday location for nature lovers, bird watchers and those looking for a quiet relaxing break.Access to the beach is via a track into the valley and across the dunes.
WINTERTON-ON-SEA is a quiet former fishing village, with small local shops, including post office, newsagents, general store and excellent fish and chip shop.
The 300 year old village pub, The Fishermans Return, popular with both holiday makers and locals, serves a wide selection of meals and a selection of ales, wines and spirits. Winterton beach cafe is situated high on the dunes with inside and outdoor seating overlooking the sea, offering tasty snacks, hot and cold drinks and icecreams.The village is characterized by its many pretty pastel coloured cottages,and back lanes waiting to be explored!
THE SURROUNDING AREA
- A short walk along the valley, dunes or beach will bring you to the neighbouring village of Hemsby. The Kingsway precinct in the village centre includes a Spar shop, hairdressers and Chinese takeaway Opposite Kingsway precinct is Beach Road, which leads from the village centre to the beach, with shops, cafes and amusement arcades. Here you will also find fun fairs, children’s rides and many souvenir shops.
GREAT YARMOUTH is a popular seaside resort, with miles of sandy beaches, tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. Sea front firework displays are staged during peak weeks. The Britannia Pier theatre has shows with well known artistes throughout the summer season.
