To the east visit some of the many picturesque fishing towns along the Moray coast, famous for its lovely beaches, and also for the Whisky Trail where you could perhaps sample some of the many whiskies produced in the area. To the north, Dunrobin Castle, the towns of Dornoch, Wick and John OGroats, the most northerly part of the mainland. To the west, there are many lovely villages which you can explore including Plockton, Dornie and Kyle of Lochalsh, the gateway to the Isle of Skye, all within easy driving distance. Amongst the many activities available are mountain biking, kayaking and sea trips, golf on some of the most famous courses in the UK, climbing and hill walking, and the northerly start of the Great Glen Way begins in Inverness.
