A self catering holiday cottage situated on the Brantwood Estate near Coniston in the Lake District that gives the visitor a unique opportunity to stay at the former home of John Ruskin and enjoy the superb setting that inspired him. The Lodge is a detached 5 bedroom cottage that has been recently renovated and which provides comfortable self catering accommodation as well as breathtaking views over Lake Coniston.
This superb large holiday house in the Lake District sleeps 4-9 people and therefore provides ideal group accommodation and is also popular with wedding parties. The property has central heating and a wood burning stove for which a generous supply of logs is provided. The facilities include bed linen and towels, WiFi internet connection, colour TV with CD and DVD player.
The cottage contains many original artworks that give a unique touch to each room, some of which have been commissioned by local Cumbrian artists and crafts people to celebrate the re-opening of the Lodge.
Guests also have access to the exhibitions and historic collections in the main Brantwood house at any time during opening hours. |
