Tangaer Cottage in Lampeter
Tangaer Cottage is situated amongst green rolling hills on a 210 acre beef and sheep working farm in the heart of red kite country, just outside Lampeter in the Teifi Valley, Ceredigion, Mid Wales.

We are in the village of Cellan, 3 miles from the University and market town of Lampeter where there is a good selection of restaurants, shops, great pubs, swimming pool and amenities. Tregaron Nature Reserve is nearby and we are only 15 miles to the beautiful Cardigan coast where dolphins can be seen and you will find glorious sandy beaches. An excellent base for touring, birdwatching, cycling, walking, and fishing. Fantastic scenery, abundance of wildlife and wonderful walks on the doorstep with numerous attractions only a short drive away.

Our self-catering cottage sleeps up to five plus a cot (we can accomodate a 6th person child/teenager in the single room if required). We provide guests with beautifully furnished accommodation, attention to detail and many little extras to make your stay memorable. Many of our guests return each year.

For a romantic or relaxing break Tangaer is ideal. It has a four poster bed in the master bedroom and balcony with breathtaking views over the Cambrian Mountains. Two further bedrooms, one twin-bedded room and one single bed with pull out bed underneath (ideal for child-teenager). All bedding and luxury towels supplied. A double-ended jacuzzi bath with power shower over in the bathroom (adult bathrobes supplied). Comfortable leather settees, wide screen tv and digibox, dvd player, hifi and woodburning fire in the lounge for cosy nights in with a glass of wine. A selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games supplied for your amusement.

A fully equipped kitchen with cooker ad ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave dining table and chairs. A separate utility room with drying facilities, washer/dryer, deep freeze and separate toilet.

Cot, highchair and stair gate available on request (no charge).

We have a decked patio with garden furniture and barbecue (gas supplied) and a play area for the children with basket ball, swings, sandpit, slide and see-saw. Children are welcome to help with the feeding of chickens daily and feeding of lambs during lambing time (March to early April). The local pub with restaurant is within walking distance (1 mile).

Visit Aberaeron a pretty Georgian resort, famous for its dolphins and seals. There are beautiful beaches along the Cardigan Bay Coast, great for birdwatching, cycling and long walks. Fishing, golf, pony trekking, swimming pool are all available nearby. Red kites are regularly spotted from the cottage. Discover the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains and the lakes of Central Wales. Brecon Beacons, National Botanic Gardens and Aberglasney, Devils Bridge, Tregaron Nature Reserve, Pumsaint Gold Mines and Folly Farm are just a few ideal places to visit. Children love to visit the Honey Farm near Aberaeron. Cardiff with its many attractions is within 2 hours drive by car.

For the very energetic there are excellent family and advanced mountain bike cycle tracks at Brechfa Forest. Quad biking, coasteering, white water canoeing, kayaking, dry ski-slope and boarding are all within easy driving distance.
