|A Scandinavian style chalet located on the picturesque Kingsdown Holiday Park between Dover and Deal in East Kent on a quiet, car free site situated on the cliffs in a 35 acre wooded park. Chalet 91 is very convenient for the car park and is a few minutes walk to the beach and the pretty unspoilt village of Kingsdown which has 3 pubs serving food and a couple of shops.
Kingsdown is about 4 miles east of Dover with many places of historic interest close by. Horse riding & 3 golf courses nearby. The area is perfect for walking, fishing and sightseeing. Nearby are the seaside resorts of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and the historic towns of Sandwich and Canterbury. Ferries at Dover and the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone are close for access to France (passports needed)
Site facilities include a large heated indoor swimming pool with lifeguard, club house (entertainment in high season) a restaurant/lounge bar with food, tennis court, crazy golf, games room, childrens play area and launderette.
Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday and available from 2 PM on day of arrival until 10 AM on day of departure and is located within this complex of 149 chalets, most of which are privately owned. The accommodation comprises, on the ground floor - a double bedroom, bunk room, bathroom with w.c., lounge/dining and galley kitchen(full size cooker, fridge, microwave),there is a twin bedded open plan room upstairs.
The chalet sleeps up to 6. It is well equipped including TV with freesat, cd player, sun loungers. Colour co-ordinated bed linen included in the price. Travel cot, cot bedding and highchair in situ. The chalet is south facing and has a rear sun deck so that, weather permitting, visitors can enjoy the sunshine all day. The chalet has been refurbished over the past 3/4 years and is regularly maintained to provide a high standard of homely and comfortable accommodation. I like my visitors to feel that they are staying in a home from home.
Your accommodation will be cleaned prior to your arrival and the beds made up, I do ask, however that the accommodation is left in a reasonable condition upon departure. In providing quality accommodation my visitors are not disappointed and many return again and again. In peak season you will need to book early to avoid disappointment.
