|No. 64 Castle Road
64 was built in the 19th century and its attractive garden backs on to Colchester's celebrated Norman castle. The cottage has been painstakingly renovated using authentic period features. These include restored Victorian upholstery and furnishings, antique pine panelling and doors, cast-iron fireplaces and traditional lace bed linen.
The cottage comfortably sleeps three, though there is a double sofa-bed downstairs for additional guests. The living has a stereo system and television/video. There is also a dining room, kitchen, double bedroom, single bedroom and bathroom. Self-catering facilities include a washer-drier, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is permit parking in the road outside.
