Caravan - Sunnybrook Farm Self-catering Caravan is 24' long and is set in its own site, close to the main house and adjacent to the river, and offers clean, medium quality accommodation in a rural setting. Amid the quiet, peaceful surroundings you can enjoy your own picnic table and fire pit, with fire-wood provided.
The caravan has a settee which converts to a double bed and two bunk beds, and has a dining table which also converts to a bed; there is a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and sandwich maker, hot and cold water, small bath-tub/shower, wash-basin and toilet. The beds are made up prior to your arrival with linen and towels provided. The caravan makes an ideal base for people who want a quiet and relaxing, inexpensive holiday in the Canadian countryside. The caravan has a selection of board games and books for those quiet evenings around the camp-fire.
The Caravan is rented on a weekly basis; 4 pm Saturday to 10 am Saturday, short stays are available in Low Season and Last Minute Breaks. Price per week ranges from $300.00 to $450.00 Canadian dollars. A complimentary fruit basket and start-up groceries await you upon your arrival. Linen, towels and cooking gas are included in the price.
Our Caravan overlooks the field where the white-tailed deer come early in the mornings on their way to the river to drink. This area is also frequented by bird watchers. We have some small farm animals including breeding poultry, ducks, geese and friendly pygmy goats. Our baby goats are due to be born this July! Your children might enjoy feeding and petting the animals - we enjoy having visitors who are interested in nature and wildlife.
St Thomas retains all the charm of a small town. It's a community known for friendly people, easy, inexpensive living in safe neighbourhoods with abundant, accessible parkland and community facilities.
By car you can explore this beautiful area of Ontario, which has several wineries, quaint villages and the weekly market at the nearby town of Aylmer. We are a 5 minute drive from the centre of the town of St Thomas, with its Elgin Railway Museum, life-size statue of Jumbo the Elephant (who met an untimely death here in 1885), and many other points of interest.
We are 15 minutes from London (pop. 360,000), 1 ½ hours from Toronto airport and 2 hours from beautiful Niagara Falls.
In 15 minutes you could be in the pretty fishing village of Port Stanley or the Provincial Park at Port Burwell, enjoying the peace and tranquility of some of the last remaining Carolinian forest in Ontario, set along the beautiful north shore of Lake Erie.
