Water's Edge, 4 Star, Self-catering Whitby Cottage. This beautiful, recently built Whitby Cottage, offers the perfect opportunity to stay in a 4 star, self-catering luxury cottage overlooking the River Esk in one of the most picturesque areas in the UK. Sleeping 6 people over 3 levels, our Whitby Cottage offers every comfort one would expect of a 4 star self-catering cottage, to make your holiday a relaxing experience. The entrance lobby leads into an attractive, modern, fully equipped spacious luxury kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/drier. A full range of crockery, glassware, cutlery, microwave oven, iron and ironing board are available for guests. The dining area has double doors leading out to the patio facing the River Esk. We have also included hairdryer, mini hi-fi system, family selection of video/DVDs, books, games, all bedding and tea towels for your convenience. On the first floor our spacious yet cosy living room invites you to relax, put your feet up, read, snooze or watch a video or DVD from our family selection. Double doors lead on to a balcony overlooking the River Esk where, depending on the tide, you can watch herons, cormorants, seals and a whole host of wading birds. If you're really lucky you may even spot an otter. On this floor the kids will be delighted to sleep in our generously wide bunk beds. A bathroom with bath and shower is also on this floor. The second floor has two double bedrooms with plenty of storage space. One bedroom has spectacular views of the river. A second spacious bathroom completes this floor.
