Elm Cottage is located 14kms from the township of Tumut, New South Wales, in the Snowy Mountains. We are approximately 21/2 hours from Canberra- our capital city, 41/2 from Sydney, 6 hours from Melbourne and just 1 hour from Wagga Wagga. Our luxury 2 & 3 bedroom fully self contained cottages, set on 62 acres, have stunning river and valley views together with exquisite furnishings and décor creating an opulent and peaceful ambience to relax and recharge your batteries. Enjoy the beauty and sounds of the mighty Goobarragandra River whilst relaxing on your private balcony or stretch your legs and meander along the 2 kms of river bank that borders the property. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, meeting up with friends or just looking for an unforgettable spot to relax and unwind, Elm Cottage provides an atmosphere that can help you create magical moments. Mt. Selwyn snowfields are just an hour from the property for those skiing enthusiasts with Blowering Dam just 10 minutes away for water skiing, windsurfing and fishing enthusiasts. Kosciusko National Park, Yarrangobilly Caves, Buddong Falls, Talbingo with the Tumut 3 Power Station, Batlow famous for its apple and stonefruit orchards, Adelong a heritage town famous for its goldming past are all just 30 minutes drive from Elm Cottage. Tumbarumba with its wineries and the Berry Farm reknown for its pancakes are an hour from the property. Other activities are golf, ultralight joy flights, hang gliding, canoeing and kayaking. The Tumut Region offers something for everyone year round, or you can just stay at the property, relax to the sounds of the river enjoy the birdlife plus see an echnida, platypus and wombat in their natural habitat.
