The Cottage lies amongst some of the prettiest countryside in Scotland. This area of Scotland is also well known for its recreation and amenity. Fishing is available from the grounds, skiing is close by and for the golfer there is an excellent variety of courses, including Pitlochry and the famous championship course, Rosemount. River Cottage is a quaint and slightly quirky country property that was originally the kennels for East Lodge which was built as a two roomed gate house for Kindrogan Estate and dates from the early 19th Century. Indeed there is a passing reference to the Lodge made by Queen Victoria, in her journal of 1866, when she visited the area. River cottage has recently been converted to include lounge with log burning stove, decked sun terrace which overhangs the river Ardle. The Cottage has an open plan kitchen and dining area which leads into the lounge area. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom. The lounge leads out onto the decked sun terrace which overhangs the river Ardle.
