Named after a ficticious local 19th century smuggler who was famous for his scarecrow mask disguise!This 3 bed roomed (2 double,1 twin) period cottage stands in East Street in heart of medieval rye.
It has recently been totally refurbished to a very high standard and is furnished in contemporary and antique furniture.
Few self catering cottages in Rye can offer this!
Syn’s holiday accommodation rye consists of a cottage with a long ground floor sitting room and dining area including 2 comfortable sofa‘s, a 6 seater dining table and chairs, a television with sky free to air and a DVD player.
Very few Rye holiday cottages have a kitchen to match Dr syn's.It is very well fitted with integral dishwasher ,fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine,5 burner gas hob, microwave,toaster etc. There is also a downstairs toilet.
To the outside there is a very small private internal courtyard.From the front room there is a flight of steep stairs leading to the first floor. From the landing there is a double bedroom to the front which boasts fitted cupboards, a double brass and iron bed and views over East street.
Also on this floor is a large contemporary style family bathroom which includes a bath, overhead shower and toilet ,unusual in this type of accommodation in rye.
From the first floor corridor there is a further flight of Steep stairs to the second floor. To the left of the landing there is a double eaves bedroom with wonderful rooftop views of rye and the countryside beyond.To the right there is another (twin bedded) eaves room with an outlook to the side of the property.
The cottage has full gas fired central heating.
