Set amongst orange groves in beautiful countryside, with distant views of the hills and mountains of the Algarve, Quinta Palmeiras, or ‘House of the Palms‘ is a delightful location for your next holiday. You could simply relax and top up your tan, with the odd trip to the bar for a cold drink, or perhaps you would prefer a day on one of the stunningly beautiful beaches in the area, ranging from miles of golden sand with full amenities, to tiny secluded coves with a bar offering delicious freshly caught fish. Nature lovers will delight in the exotic plants and wildlife that flourish in the area, whilst golfers have a choice of 23 world-class courses all within easy reach. In short the Portuguese Algarve has something for everyone.
We are located centrally in the Algarve, 12 km inland and close to the historic town of Silves. With its hilltop castle, it was once the Moors capital of the Algarve, when they occupied the region. There are first class restaurants, pavement cafes/bars, and excellent shopping facilities, a wonderful market selling (usually organic) fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, which all goes to make the town a joy to explore. The nearest beach is only 15 mins. away.
Regular flights to Faro Airport (40 mins.drive away) arrive daily from most regional UK airports, with off-season fares as low as £20 each way, and a flight time of under two and a half hours. Car hire is strongly recommended as there are so many wonderful places to visit. We can easily organise a car to be waiting at the airport for you, supplied by a very reliable local company - at unbeatable prices.
We are five minutes from the local train station, and a return ticket to Lagos (marina, new town, old town, beaches, shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs) is only £2.80 - why not send the teenagers off, and you can relax around the pool, go for a meal, or have a drink or three at the bar !
There are several water and theme parks, with great rides for all ages.
We operate an ‘honesty bar’, we do not charge for drinks, you supply your own (at cheap supermarket prices), and keep them chilled in the fridges at the pool-side bar, or if you prefer in the fridge in your own accommodation.
