| Seagull House is situated in a complex of modern houses overlooking the river Lazey where it meets the sea in the village of Port Haverigg in south west Cumbria
The house sleeps four people and is designed on three levels. You enter the house at the rear of the property into a private courtyard garden with BBQ and garden furniture.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom, shower room (electric shower wash basin and toilet), a quiet occasional sitting area with built in utility / storage.
Open pine stairs lead to the middle level which is the lounge open plan living / dining / kitchen area with TV and CD/radio. The kitchenis fully equiped fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge. Patio doors lead to the sun balcony which has views over the river to the sea and the nearest fell Blackcombe. Stone steps lead down to the river frontage.
Open pine stairs lead to the spacious upper bedroom with ensuite facilities (bath, washbasin, and toilet) and large built in wardrobe.
Throughout the house has wood flooring, pine furnishings, solid beech kitchen worktops, and tongue and groove feature making for a scandinavian appearance and comfortable holiday accomodation for four people.
Bedlinen and tea towels are provided. We ask guests to provide their own bath and hand towels. Electricity is included in the price. There is designated parking within the complex.
Haverigg is a quiet coastal village away from the busy centres of the Lake District, but within easy reach for day trips. We are close to the less visited, but equally as beautifull Western Lakes such as Eskdale and Wasdale, featuring the "La-al Ratty miniature railway", Muncaster Castle, Wastwater, the stunning fells of great gable and Sca-Fell, the south lakes animal park and much more.
Haverigg has a long sandy beach, tidal estuary with lots of bird life, two pubs (one serving good food) and real village feel.
Water sports and ski bar are available within walking diistance at the loval inland lagoon. Horse riding and golf are available at nearby silecroft.
As Seagull House is owner maintained we hope to offer you quality comfortable accomodation and it is our aim that you very much enjoy your stay.
