SLEEPS 4 + 2 There is private parking behind the cottage at the top of the ‘upper’ back garden. The front garden has a small lawn and a pretty chalet [furnished]. The quay is shared with Glen Cottage next door. No parking is allowed on the front road. The cottage is mid 18th century with very thick walls and original features still intact. Gas central heating, hot water and electricity is charged by meter readings.
Downstairs a small cloakroom gives a total of 3 WCs. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with double wall oven/grill and electric stainless steel hob; dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer [plus outdoor drying as well], microwave, refrigerator and a ‘fridge/freezer. The stone walled sitting room has plenty of comfortable seating, an electric Valor 'woodstove' in the open hearth. A large colour TV/remote with vcr, dvd and cd players. The stone walled dining room has antique furnishings [eg large table, huge dresser etc] and a double sofa-bed for occasional use.
Upstairs 2 bedrooms, one with an antique original Jacobean carved 4 poster bed [modern new base and mattress], the second bedroom has twin beds. 2 bathrooms and a second back door leading to the ‘middle’ back garden making it easier for unloading luggage and this avoids unloading at the front door and then taking the car back up around to the rear parking.]. The rear gardens are terraced and have a handrail as well. There is a ‘lower’ back garden outside the kitchen, suitable for a ‘disposable’ barbecue and an ‘upper’ back garden with marvellous estuary views, [near the 2 parking spaces which are suitable for 2 ‘normal’ vehicles, accessed via a ‘back road’].
