This beautiful area includes the ancient Roman town of Cirencester, (4 miles), the Regency city of Bath, Shakespeare’s Stratford, with Gloucester/Cheltenham close by. The scenic villages of Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water, the Roman Villa at Chedworth, and the Arboretum at Westonbirt. are just a few of the delightful attractions of the local countryside. The 300 yr., five star tourist board rated, old stone cottage is probably the original farmhouse of the village. Standing in one third of an acre of peaceful garden, surrounded by open fields, it enjoys lovely open views. With all the charm and character you would expect, it is comfortably furnished affording a wealth of oak beams, exposed stonework, and a large inglenook fireplace. Old Farm has generous accommodation with a superb large, well-equipped Smallbone kitchen. There is a comfortable lounge and a separate dining room with a large oak refectory table, which comfortably seats 8. Both the dining room and hall have wooden floors with rugs. There is also a utility room. The cottage has a spacious feel to it, accommodating 6 people in three double bedrooms ( l double, 2 twins) two of which have hand basins. There are two bathrooms, one with power shower. The garden is large with a lovely south and west-facing patio.
