Boatmans cottage was built in 1640 and retains many original features including beamed ceilings, oak flooring etc. Very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. A real 'Home from Home' feel. The'Hythe' is a conservation area with cottages and grade 2 listed buildings situated on the banks of the river Thames. A very pretty, quiet lane which leads directly to beautiful walks along the tow path. The town centre is a 2 minute walk over the bridge and boasts many restaurants, pubs, bars, sidewalk cafes, department stores and a large cinema complex. The main BR train station is a 7 minute walk from the cottage with frequent trains into London Waterloo (Journey time-20 minutes) Also, ideally placed for major motorway links (M25,M4,M3,M40,M1) and London Heathrow and Gatwick airports. TOURIST ATTRACTIONS: Many boat trips including Windsor and Hampton Court Palace. London, Wimbledon, Surrey Hills, South Coast, all a short drive away. Legoland, Saville Gardens, Kew Gardens, RHS Wisley, Chelsea Flower Show, Thorpe Park theme park, Wentworth Golf Course, Ascot Horse racing, Wimbledon Tennis, London Theatres and shows, Theatre Royal Windsor, JFK Airforce Memorial and Chessington World of Adventure, all close by.
