Mead Cottage overlooks the neighbouring lake and private gardens of New Close Farm and the local countryside. It is a peaceful retreat in the centre of the Island near the historic Carisbrooke Castle. One mile from the village of Carisbrooke and two miles from the market town of Newport. The accommodation offers comfort and quaintness with exposed beams and log burning fire. It has four bedrooms to accommodate six guests - one double with ensuite shower room; two single & one twin bed in the attic. There is a fully fitted modern kitchen, dining room, sitting room & a large sunny conservatory overlooking and leading into the private garden. Suitable for couples, friends, families or those wishing to bring a well behaved dog (or two!) The ferry ports and coastal beaches are not far in any direction and there are many rural footpaths & bridleways on the Island to explore.
