East Devon’s “Country by the Sea” and the “Jurassic
Coast”
It was “Love Actually”, we saw Treaslake Cottages once almost 10
years ago, we had to own and love them, we still do, we cherish our
cottages. Each year we improve them and add new features. Guests
love our cottages too, returning to see what’s new and recommending
us to friends.
We are Julia and Paul Hardy, resident owners, still completely besotted
with our little Devon idyll.

The Cottages
MALLARDS COTTAGE sleeps 8 + cot/s
Lounge/diner, fully equipped kitchen, ground floor bedroom 1 with ensuite walk or wheel in
shower WC and basin, king size bed. Upstairs, bedroom 2 with 4 poster bed, ensuite WC and
basin. Bedroom 3 - twin beds, Bedroom 4 - twin beds. Family bathroom. The cottage has a
ramp to the front door. South facing terrace with outdoor dining furniture.
SUNFLOWER COTTAGE sleeps 6 + cot/s
Let the sunshine in farmhouse kitchen/diner, large lounge, 2 sofas and widescreen TV.Master
bedroom with 4 poster bed, ensuite WC and basin. Bedroom 2 French walnut double bed.
Bedroom 3 twin beds. Family bathroom with bath and power shower. South facing terrace for
outdoor dining
OTTER COTTAGE sleeps 6+ cot
Private, luxurious and practical. Single storey, featuring reclaimed oak timbers. Lounge with
log effect fire, massive comfy sofas. Stylish kitchen/diner with colourwashed units. Patio doors
to private barbecue area and lawns beyond. Master bedroom with king size bed and ensuite
shower room. Twin bedroom with fitted basin unit, bunk room, family bathroom.
STREAM COTTAGE sleeps 6/8 + cot
Spacious, thatched and beamed. Comfortable lounge diner with farmhouse table. Fully
equipped modern kitchen. Downstairs family bathroom. Master bedroom with king size bed,
ensuite shower room. Twin bedroom with washbasin. Bunk room with two sets of full size
heavy pine bunk beds. (extra charge for 7+ guests)
ROSE COTTAGE sleeps 6 + cot
Thatched and beamed, roomy and comfortable. Lounge diner with country views. Fully
equipped modern kitchen. Downstairs family bathroom. Master bedroom with king size bed,
Bedroom 2, with two single beds and one double bed, upstairs WC.
BRIAR COTTAGE sleeps 4/5 + cot
A cottage lovers dream! clad in climbing roses, thatched and heavily beamed with inglenook
fireplace. Huge farmhouse kitchen diner. Downstairs WC. Master bedroom with antique pine
king size four poster. Second bedroom with three single beds. Bathroom with airspa bath and
shower, "pure romance". (extra charge for 5th guest)
SQUIRRELS COTTAGE SLEEPS 4 + cot
Light and airy with views over open meadows and the Gittisham hills. Reached by wide safe
stairs. Open plan kitchen/lounge/ diner. Family bathroom. Master bedroom with 6’ wide
super-king size bed. Twin bedroom. Attractive pine flooring. Constructed at first floor level,
but otherwise detached, quietly situated with own parking and patio/barbecue area. A popular
choice with returning guests especially in the spring, autumn and winter months.
