This fully refurbished bungalow sits on the site of an original croft cottage on the shore of Loch Duich. Wildlife such as otters, seals and porpoises can often be seen from the cottage.

Accommodation is in 2 double bedrooms (one can be used as a twin). Both bedrooms are warm and light. Hairdryer provided. Bathroom with shower. Towels and linen provided. Sorry no pets.

Make yourselves at home in the comfortable lounge with TV, CD player, coal fire, telephone. The property has oil central heating.

The well-equipped modern kitchen includes gas oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine / dryer, dishwasher.

An ideal base for a walking holiday if you want to bag those Munros! Easy access to Five Sisters of Kintail, Isle of Skye, Torridon and Wester Ross. For a small fee, we can provide a car service to the start of your day's walk.

Just 6 miles away at the opposite end of the loch sits Eilean Donan Castle. Open to the public from Easter to the end October, it is highly photogenic at any time of year! The castle has historic connections with the Macraes and the Mackenzies of Kintail.

Near the castle you can take a stroll along the picturesque main street of the village of Dornie. Also close by, visitors can enjoy the Lochalsh Woodland Garden at Balmacara, or plan a hike to the Falls of Glomach. Or head for the scenic village of Plockton and the hills of Wester Ross.

From the house you can easily take the scenic drive over Mam Ratagan and visit Pictish brochs (over 1500 years old) and the ruins of Bernera Barracks (built to deter the 1745 Jacobite Rebellion). At the end of the road, Glenelg has a small ferry operating to the Isle of Skye (April - end October only). Alternatively, visit the island via the Skye Bridge (14 miles from our location).
