Holemire House Barn, a traditional Lakeland barn, has been converted to provide luxurious self-catering accommodation for two people. It is situated in the beautiful Vale of Lorton, on the outskirts of the village of High Lorton and in the midst of superb Lake District walking country. The villages of High and Low Lorton lie at the northern end of the Vale of Lorton, a beautiful valley which runs from Cockermouth in the north to the lakes and mountains of Crummock Water and Buttermere in the south. Lorton is an attractive village with its own local shop and pub. In walking distance of the barn, The Wheatsheaf Inn serves lunchtime and evening meals, and the local Jennings ales.
