Set amongst mature trees and beautiful upspoilt meadows, this wonderful 18th century red sandstone former hunting lodge, dairy farm, now stock rearing has a newly converted holiday apartment as well as bed and breakfast.
The bothy is a warm and comfortable rural retreat. It is reached by a staircase, leading to a elevated balcony area,
looking south over the Endrick Valley to the Campsie Hills.
The seating/dining area is open plan to the kitchen, with a sofa bed(double size) in the sitting area. Including this and the double room(king size or twin)The Bothy sleeps up to four people.There is a bath with shower, and washbasin and also a separate toilet and washbasin. The Bothy is fully equipped with all modern appliances including an electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle toaster, wash/dryer, iron and ironing board, microwave, hairdryer, shaver points, colour TV(wide screen and flat screen) video DVD Hi-Fi. Bed Linen, towels and bathrobes will be supplied.
The Bothy is near the village of Drymen, with excellent access to Stirling(20 miles) east, Edinburgh(50 miles) east and Glasgow, (20 miles south).This area of Loch Lomond Scotland's first National Park, offers an ideal base for your vacation.
If your are hungry there is an abundance of homely country pubs and restaurants in the local area.
