Star Haze is part of a granite cottage which nestles in amongst the tiny winding streets of Mousehole (pronounced "Mouzle") in Cornwall. About 50 steps from the harbour and right in the heart of the village, the cottage is over 200 years old with lots of charm and history; part of the cottage was once a Pilchard Cellar. We have spent time carefully selecting the furnishings in the cottage to give a clean, relaxing and spacious feel.
There is a beamed dining room, kitchen, bathroom, one double bedroom and large living room, with double sofa bed and chair bed, offering an affordable self catering holiday for a family of up to 5.
Mousehole is a fishing village once famously described by Dylan Thomas as the prettiest village in England, and today proudly retains the beauty and charm that inspired this comment. It is excellent for exploring West Cornwall and both the South and North coasts, including the Eden project and The National Maritime Museum at Falmouth. The cliff-top Minack Theatre, an open air theatre with the backdrop of the sea, and the Tate Gallery at St. Ives are both worth a visit and very close. St. Michael's Mount is just across the waters of Mount's Bay from Mousehole. Our extensive web site gives you lots of ideas for your holiday in Cornwall.
Getting there: There is a regular train and motorail service from London to Penzance, and a good train service from Glasgow all the way down the west coast of England to Penzance. There is a regular bus service from Penzance station to Mousehole about every 15 minutes. |
