The cottage is situated in the tiny hamlet of Knock which is 20 minutes drive to the M6 at Penrith, 30 minutes to Ullswater in the heart of lakeland, and 10 minutes to the historic town of Appleby. Knock lies at the foot of the Pennines and the Pennine Way passes within half a mile of the cottage. There is a traditional pub serving good local fare one mile down the road and a post office/grocery shop in walking distance.The cottage overall is well heated in winter and the lounge is warmed by a log burning fire. This spacious converted chapel makes an excellent base for walkers and for touring the Lakes and Pennines.If the booking is for a group of young people a ú100 returnable deposit will be required.
