Four Star Rated - 6 beautiful, family-run barn conversion cottages, set in a pretty courtyard just off the main road in the centre of Allonby village. The cottages are just 2 minutes walk from the long sandy beach, and only 30 minutes drive from Bassenthwaite. We have ample off-road parking, a laundry room, and an information centre containing farming memorabilia has a comprehensive selection of leaflets covering places to visit during your holiday. All cottages have a television with freeview channels, DVD player and a CD/radio. Kitchens are equipped with electric cookers, microwaves, fridge freezers or fridges with ice ice boxes, kettles, toaster and all the equipment you are likely to need . Barley Store and Engine House also have dishwashers. Our cottages are furnished and maintained to a high standard and have double glazing and full gas central heating. Smoking is not permitted in the cottages. Well behaved dogs are welcome at an extra charge of £20 per dog, per short break / week.(Please note: We allow a maximum of 1 dog in Eight Byre and 2 dogs per cottage in Turnip House, Haybarn and Milking Parlour.We don't allow dogs in Barley Store or Engine House) Allonby has many places to eat and drink, a grocery/ice cream shop, newspaper shop, post office and a well maintained childrens playground. We accept cheque and card payments.
