'The End Place' is a family run self-catering holiday cottage situated in the unique country setting of Hermiston Village, only minutes from the City of Edinburgh, Scotland's internationally renowned festival capital. We are proud to offer a very high standard of accommodation all year round for up to 4 people in our newly restored traditional country cottage. The cottage was completed in May 2004 and has full central heating throughout. The cosy lounge has a south-facing picture window looking out directly to the village green with its children's play facilities. It is equipped with TV/video/DVD player, radio/CD player and "wood burner effect" electric fire. A door leads out to the patio area at the rear. The modern kitchen is open-plan from the lounge, and is fully equipped with full-size electric oven and hob, microwave, automatic washer/dryer and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a dining table to seat 4, and a full range of utensils, crockery and cutlery is provided. A child's high chair is also available on request. The bathroom is located on the ground floor, and has an electric heated towel rail, shaver point (110/230V), wash basin, toilet and a bath with electric shower unit above. Upstairs, the double bedroom is equipped with a double bed, double wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A child's travel cot can also be provided on request. The dormer window has an open outlook to the Kingdom of Fife and the Forth Bridges. The twin bedroom is equipped with two single beds, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. The dormer window shares a similar view to the north as the double bedroom. In order to keep the cottage as fresh as possible, we operate a 'no smoking' and 'no pets' policy.
