10 bed self-catering Chalet arranged as 2 self-contained apartments in Murau, Styria (Southern Austria). Available separately or together.

Both apartments sleep 1-5 and have:-

Central Heating throughout.

Kitchen (inc. oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave).

Sitting room (inc. TV+cable, DVD, CD, radio) with double sofabed, lounge chairs and dining table for 5.

Bathroom (inc. Power Shower, Washbasin, WC and washing machine)

Bed linen, duvets and towels provided.

Cot and high chair on request.

Use of shared garden and BBQ area.

Ground floor Apartment (60m2): Includes 1 triple bedroom (1 Double and 1 Single)

Middle floor Apartment (60m2) : 1 double bedroom with balcony (inc seating) and 1 twin bedroom.

Local Amenities

Restaurant, pub and child's playground opposite. Tourist Information, indoor pool, shops and garages within 5 minutes walk. In addition there is an outdoor swimming pool, parklands, health/fitness/tennis centre and horse riding within 5 minutes drive.

Ski resorts - Kreischberg and Frauenalpe within 7km, Plus FIVE others! within 35km..these include...

Kreischberg (Snowboard World Cup 2003/2004)

A multi-centre ski pass is available covering Präbichl, Hohentauern, Lachtal, Grebenzen, Frauenalpe, Kreischberg and Turracher Höhe.

Austria - Lakes and Mountains - This lake is within the Grebenzen Nature reserve, where you can swim, sail, hike, mountain bike, fish or just relax and enjoy the scenery.
Ground Floor Dining - The Dining area has space for 6 people. There is cutlery, crockery and glassware for 9. The bookcase contains a selection books and games for all ages and toys for children.
Ground Floor Family Bedroom - The ground floor bedroom has one double and one single bed. Duvets, sheets and pillows are provided without charge. The room also contains a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Ground Floor Kitchen - The kitchen contains microwave, 4 ring electric cooker (with oven and grill), toaster and kettle. There is ample storage and a fridge freezer. The bathroom contains a washing machine and cleaning utensils. See the 'Kitchen Window View' on the photos page.
Ground Floor Layout -
Ground Floor Lounge - The lounge contains a 3 seater sofa bed and two lounge chairs. In addition there is a Hi-fi system with radio, tape and CD player. There is a 21 Cable TV system and DVD/CD player. There is a small selection of DVD's available including Disney films and various others including Hannibal, Aliens, Terminator, Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones trilogies. A video player is available on request.
Information Point - We have an information point on the middle floor landing. There are maps (Murau, Steiermark & Austria) and leaflets.

Local places of interest are highlighted with photographs and useful information. Bike hire 10 Euro per day. Evening Indoor Family Swimming session approx 7 Euro per family.

Middle Floor Double Bed - The main Middle floor bedroom has one double bed. Duvets, sheets and pillows are provided without charge. The room also contains a wardrobe with hanging space with shelving. There are two doors from this room, one to the balcony and the other to the adjoining twin bedroom.
Middle Floor Kitchen - The kitchen contains combination microwave (with oven and grill), toaster, kettle, double hotplates and electric grill. There is cutlery, crockery and glassware for 9. There is ample storage and a fridge freezer. The bathroom contains a washing machine and cleaning utensils.
Middle Floor Layout -

Middle Floor Twin Bedroom - The twin room is accessed via the adjoinging double bedroom. There are two twin beds. Duvets, sheets and pillows are provided without charge. The room also contains wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Murau - 'birds eye view' of Murau Village - Murau has approximately 2500 inhabitants. The castle is at the top of the picture and the chalet is just above the top right corner. The MUR river is on the left with the church in the middle.
Murau - 'Ferners' Pub and Restaurant opposite - Open Tuesday to Sundays. Proprietor - Anita, speaks a little English. A menu is available, but the head chef will also cook to order.
Murau - location relative to main cities & roads - Salzburg (156 km) = 2 hour drive.

Klagenfurt (85 km) = 1 hour 15 minute drive.

Vienna (250 km) = 2 hours 30 minute drive.

Innsbruck (310 km) = 3 hour 30 minute drive.

The bus stops outside the chalet and there is a post box and phone boothe at the end of the road. The news agent next to the boothe sells phone cards.
