The cottage is situated on our five acre smallholding which is equidistant from the
market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn and one mile from the village of
Cenarth ( the closest shops and pubs ) with its famous waterfall and all the usual
facilities of a tourist village.
The beach resorts of Mwnt, Tresaith, Aberporth, Llangranog and many others are a
short drive ( 5 or 6 miles) from us and good walking is available in the Teifi Valley
and on the Presceli Hills.
The new Botanic Gardens of Wales and the recently restored garden at Aberglasni are both within a one hour drive.
The cottage is a single storey dwelling with its own large gardens and consists of an
entry porch, a large living/dining/kitchen area, a small hallway, bathroom and two
bedrooms.
The living area 28' x 12' contains the fitted kitchen with fan oven and hob, dishwasher,
microwave, large fridge/freezer plus sufficient crockery, cutlery and kitchenware for 5
persons. Walls, floor and worksurfaces are of ceramic tiles. The remainder of the area
contains the tv/video/stereo and furnishings the centrepiece being
the 12kw glass fronted logburner which produces ducted heat for the central heating
system. Flooring here and the bedrooms is rugs on polished chestnut.
The spacious main bedroom has a full size double bed and space for a cot if required.
The second bedroom contains full size bunk beds.
The bathroom contains a toilet, washbasin and a shower cabinet with a power shower.
Outside, the cottage stands in its own grounds and a path from the stone patio (patio
furniture and barbeque here) leads to the purpose built laundry containing a sink,
washing machine and tumble drier.
The cottage is suited to 4 or 5 persons but no more than 4 adults. All bed linen is
supplied and a cot is available on request(supply own bedding). Pets are usually
acceptable, however, dogs are acceptable at a weekly supplement of £5 and on the
condition that they are not allowed at any time to wander
without supervision in the house, fields or gardens, a dog basket can be supplied for the
porch.
The logburner provides ducted central heating for those winter weeks and an
ample supply of logs is included in the rent from 15th October until 1st May.
Electric convector heaters are installed in the bedrooms and living area and
the bathroom has a downflow fan heater and heated towel rail to take off
any light evening chill. The property is well insulated.
20% of the cost as deposit will secure any booking with the balance payable 3 weeks prior to arrival, 10% discount is given
for bookings of 2 or more weeks at any time of year.
Outside the school holiday periods we accept bookings for short breaks and weekends from £75 for a minimum of two nights.
