Buxton is a spa and market town in the centre of the Derbyshire Peak District. Ideal for walkers any time of year, it is surrounded by peaks and dales, moors and beautiful rambling countryside.

Explore Buxton's parks and gardens in the evenings after  a hard day's walking. Visit the local pubs and restaurants (without the worry of driving) - or help yourself to the free Buxton Spring Water at St.Annes Well.

This c350 year old cottage - once the home of the local blacksmith and his family - is located in a quiet (access only) street close to the main market square.

Formerly the home of the local blacksmith - it still retains a lot of its old period charm. large oak beam fireplace with a cast iron open hearth fire. 18" thick limestone walls with deep recessed windows walls that slope outwards downstairs and inwards upstairs and hardly a "right angle" in the house to be found! The beautiful Pavilion Gardens are only a 5 minute walk. The road outside the cottage is low traffic and access only but there is off road car parking for one car within 20 yds of the cottage.
