Blue Reef cottages: STB Graded 5 stars - this self catering accommodation is located in the beautiful village of Scarista on Harris. These unique turf roofed cottages are sitting on a hill overlooking Caribbean blue seas and some of Harris’s most beautiful beaches. Each cottage has its own sauna, Jacuzzi, wifi/broadband & fully equipped office. There are two cottages and each one is private from the other sleeping a maximum of 2. The cottages have also achieved a Gold award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and the owners are committed to reducing the impact they have on the environment. Wherever possible sustainable, eco friendly products are used. The whole of Harris is designated a National Scenic Area. There is an abundance of wildlife around and near the cottages. Eagles are regularly seen soaring on the hill behind and basking sharks/seals/otters can be seen from the beaches and shores near the cottages. For those who want to get even closer to nature there are boat trips to spot whales, dolphins, seals or puffins or guided walks to see otters, seals, buzzards eagles or deer. For those who like an adrenalin rush, expert or not, try out surfing, climbing, diving or power boating.
