Orkney Caravan Hire is a cost effective way for a family to holiday in Orkney. Including site fees it can work out from around £35 a day. Hires normally run Saturday 4pm until the following Saturday at 10am. Weekend and daily rates are available. Our caravans are not brand new but are well maintained, clean and fully equipped for your stay in Orkney. They are gas checked and certificated and all electrics are checked on a regular basis. We can arrange to have the caravans moved to the site of your choice. The 2 main sites in Orkney are at The Pickaquoy Centre in Kirkwall and at Ness Point in the picturesque town of Stromness, with arguably the most outstanding views of any site. New for 2010 is the new caravan site in Birsay on the north western corner of the Orkney mainland. Each caravan comes well equipped with hot and cold running water, central heating and flush toilet, however, each caravan site in Orkney is well equipped with toilets washrooms and showers, so we recommend caravan toilets are for emergencies only. Other equipment included is as follows: * oven or microwave * all cutlery and cooking utensils * all plates and cups * all gas required for heating and cooking * TV and DVD player What you need to take: * sleeping bags or quilts * food That's it, take your bedding and your supplies and you are ready to start your holiday. A small welcome pack will be in the caravan to welcome you and shops are open until late in Kirkwall and Stromness.
