Alden Cottage is an idyllic 17th Century country cottage situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at Stonyhurst, nr Hurst Green, Clitheroe. Perfect for walking and cycling holidays or for exploring the beautiful Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland by car.

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Alden Cottage has VisitBritain 4 star accreditation and has been awarded a Gold Award for quality.

Alden cottage is ideal for couples. Why not stay in and light the woodburner and enjoy a glass of wine in front of a roaring log fire in the cosy beamed sitting/dining room furnished with antiques and old world charm but with the modern day comforts of flat screen digital TV, DVD player and digital recorder and electric central heating. Or, after a hard day exploring the breathtaking scenery of the Ribble Valley or visiting the many tourist spots,you can relax and unwind in the Biojet™ whirlpool bath in the luxuriously appointed en-suite bathroom which includes power shower, bidet, heated towel rail. There are many gourmet restaurants within a a few miles but,if you want to eat-in, the small, well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. We think there's everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings.
