Modern & Spacious Seafront Holiday House on the Isle of Skye. Enjoy a tranquil and relaxing lochside holiday on the beautiful Isle of Skye on the shores of Loch Harport, surrounded by the Cuillin Mountains.
Totally bespoke, architecturally designed property. The Boat Lodge offers its guests luxury accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. There is abundance of wildlife on your doorstep, such as Seals, Otters, Sea Eagles, Cormorants, Herons and the occasional Dolphin. The house has been designed to take full advantage of its lochside position. The timber veranda actually overhangs the sea. Leave a window open, you will feel the sea breeze and hear the waves crashing on the rocks below.
The main living area incorporates a large full height glass facade overlooking the sea. You can watch the ever-changing seascape and spectacular mountain scenery from the comfort of your sofa or even bed.
There is a private 40 meter timber decked pontoon leading off a veranda that surrounds the house. The Pontoon can accommodate large yachts, although its main use seems to be for recreational purposes, such as dining out on or having morning breakfast, fishing or throwing in the odd lobster pot, or even just relaxing reading a book or taking in the scenery.
The Boat Lodge has 5 bedrooms. The Master bedroom has its own bath/shower en-suite and an East facing balcony that captures the morning sun over the Cuillins. The main bathroom has a double power shower and a large whirlpool bath. There is an oak and black granite clad kitchen and dining area. High quality fixtures and fittings have been used throughout.
We also arrange (additionally) some special activities such as a day's sailing trip with a 45ft traditional wooden boat and a day in the Cuillins with an experienced local mountain guide. You can also taste the local Whiskey and have a tour of the Talisker Distillery 200m down the road.
