BOSWEN has been recently updated and offers simple but comfortable accommodation. There is a comfortable sitting room with multifuel stove and with a kitchen at one end, a new bathroom, utility area with washing machine and dryer, one bedroom with king-size double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. The cottage is on the outskirts of the village, on the road leading to the Cot Valley and has outstanding views over fields to the sea and the Isles of Scilly.
It is a few minutes' walk to the centre of St. Just which offers a selection of excellent shops including several butchers, bakers, a greengrocer and a couple of supermarkets. In addition to a fish and chip shop, and a Chinese takeaway plus an Indian takeaway, there are several pubs offering good food plus a choice of restaurants. There is also an excellent restaurant at The Golf Club, nearby. The village has several art galleries and potteries and the Tate Gallery at St. Ives is only a short drive away. Beaches are abundant in the area, all within easy driving distance and some within walking distance. The ancient and mysterious standing stones and stone circles are there to be explored and there is ample opportunity to investigate the tin mining heritage of West Penwith.
Further afield is the Eden Project at St. Austell, Heligan Gardens and the Minack open air Theatre. The Maritime Museum at Falmouth is also well worth a visit. Walkers will be delighted at the abundance of ancient footpaths and ways which crisscross the landscape and the coastal footpath is very close to the cottage. The area is also very popular with birdwatchers.
