Griffin Barn is handily located between Midhurst and Petworth just off the A272, our closest village is Tillington which houses a very good pub for evening meals. Goodwood for the Festival of Speed and horse racing is down the road, with Cowdray Polo very close - there are spectacular views over the South Downs from your accommodation. Needless to say, our local walks are out of this world (however, I am biased!) The building is a separate annex to the main house and includes a private entrance, large sitting room with wood burning stove, kitchenette, shower and WC, large airy oak beamed bedroom with superking size bed. We are able to give you keys so that you can return at your leisure, we can also arrange a substantial continental breakfast to be left in the kitchen for you to enjoy when you like. Please do note however, that our facilities are not suitable for the disabled or the infirm (we have space saver stairs to the bedroom.) We are happy to accept well behaved dogs at £15 extra per week. I also have 2 stables and 2 paddocks directly in front of your accommodation and am happy to arrange equine B&B..please call me for a chat if you are interested. Bedroom - Bedroom A large Superking size bed with two velux windows (black out blinds) looking out on a spectacular view of the Downs. We provide a clock, radio and bedside lamps, also in the bedroom is a small bureau, make-up mirror, hairdryer and long length mirror.
Bedroom area - A small desk which has a few little odds and ends that you may find useful - hairbrushes, hairdryer, mirrors etc.
Downstairs Area - Sitting Room - A large light, airy private sitting/breakfast room with woodburning fire for the winter. The blue sofa converts to a double bed for those wanting extra accomodation for children/friends.
Griffin Room - exterior -
Kitchen - Kitchen area This kitchenette includes a fridge/freezer which can be stocked with milk, fruit juice, bread and pastries for breakfast (and also for you to help yourself to at anytime) if you wish. It also has a toaster, kettle, microwave and small hob/oven. I have also put in a small ironing board and iron as experience tells me they are essential when preparing to be smart for a wedding/event after a long journey. The kitchen is always fully stocked so you can always have a cup of tea/coffee/piece of toast/fruit (or something stronger in the evenings) whenever you like.
