| Chimney Cottage was converted from two, 150-year-old farm labourers cottages. It has three bedrooms, two doubles and one with bunks for children. It has recently undergone a refurbishment - with new furniture and furnishings, redecoration, and a new bathroom. There is a spacious entrance hall for boots and coats, a kitchen-diner with washer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer etc. The lounge has a decorative Victorian fireplace suitable for an open fire. There is a flat-screen TV with digital TV and a DVD player. The bathroom has a full-size bath with a shower over. The cottage has oil-fired central-heating. There is a selection of DVDs, books, games and information about local attractions.
Gunthorpe is a pretty, quiet conservation village. There is a Post Office and general store at the petrol station about a mile away. It is a great place to stay to explore the whole region. The village is only 15-20mins from Holt, 20mins from Cley-next-the-Sea and 30mins from Wells-next-the Sea, but still less than an hour from Norwich, Cromer and the Norfolk Broads. There are lots of lovely walks you can do in the village, and explore Gunthorpe's own patch of NT blubell woodland Bulfer Grove. Thursford, with it's Christmas Spectacular show, museum, and magnificent bluebell wood, is only three miles away. There are also many other museums and attractions within easy reach.

It is a fantastic area for walking, cycling, birdwatching and nature-spotting. From Morston, you can take a boat trip out to see the seals at Blakeney point, or visit one of the many nature reserves in the area to see some of the countless numbers of birds. The Broads are home to swallow-tail butterflies, cranes and Chinese water deer which are not seen in other parts of the UK
