Silk cottage is a quaint 18th century cottage originally built to house the local silk mill workers. It has a kitchen & bathroom on the ground floor, the lounge is on the first floor and the bedroom on the top floor. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge which can sleep a further 2 people (converts to 4ft bed). The cottage is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, freeview TV etc. The original character is retained with beamed ceilings, wooden floors,light decor and wood burning stove. The village of Blockley is hidden away in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. There are many designated walks and a pub very close by, as well as another inn in the village. There is a village shop with a cafe serving great breakfasts which also has broadband internet access. Blockley is approximately 3 miles from Moreton-in-Marsh where there is a mainline station. Stratford-on-Avon is 15 miles away and Cheltenham 22 miles. Local villages are Stow-on-the-wold and Bourton-on-the-water.
