The newly fitted kitchen/diner is well equipped with integral cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom has a full sized bath and separate shower unit.

The New Wolf Trax mountain bike centre offers miles of marked bike trails which are graded from green(easy) to Black (very difficult). Bike hire and instruction are also available. Wolf Trax has a pony trekking facility and cafe.

For family days out there is the Newtonmore Folk Park (free entry in 2009), where you will find a great play park, picnic area, cafe, shop, an old school house where you can take part in a lesson, a farmstead with animals, war time cottage, saw mill , Black Houses, and little busses to take you around the park exhibits if you don't fancy the walk. The Landmark Centre at Carrbridge has fantastic water slides, a tree top walk and tower, assault courses, climbing walls and rope courses. There is also an open air cafe, a restaurant and shop, duck pond, maze and a play area. The Wildlife Park at Kingcraig has a drive through area and a walk round area, cafe and shop. The old potting shed is a quaint tea room serving amazing cakes and is where you can view an amazing number of wild birds and squirrels at very close range from the viewing gallery. Beautiful Loch Morlich offers a sandy beach, which is great for swimming, watersports or just to sit and admire the surrounding woodland and mountains.
Newtonmore is the walking centre of Scotland and there are plenty of low level easy walks and hill walks for those that like more of a challenge. The Newtonmore Wild Cat Trail is a well marked 10km route passing beautiful waterfalls, the River Spey and Glen Banchor.
For dining out there is fine dining restaurant, cafes and several options for bar meals with in 5 minutes walk. |
