Lakeside Lodge is a Scandinavian style lodge located in the picturesque village of Isleham on the Suffolk Cambridgeshire border. Set in the tranquil Isleham marina, it offers the perfect place to relax and unwind with the peaceful surrounding only punctuated by the surrounding wild life and the occasional long boat. It's location in the heart of East Anglia makes it an ideal place to explore the surrounding villages and towns. Ely 9 miles St Ives 25 miles Newmarket 8 miles Cambridge 18 mile Bury St Edmunds 17 miles The lodge commands a stunning view overlooking the lake which is host to a vast array of wildlife. If you prefer to stay at the lodge for a relaxing day, you can fish from the decking at the end of the garden. There is also a circular walk around the island which is a mile long and runs along the river. Lakeside Lodge is located within this complex of 112 lodges, most of which are privately owned. The accommodation comprises, on the ground floor - a double bedroom, open plan lounge / dinning room, bathroom with w.c. and kitchen (full size cooker, fridge, microwave & dishwasher), there is also an occasional bedroom upstairs with a futon bed and w.c. Bed linen will be provided for your stay. The lodge sleeps 4. It is equipped with TV, video, DVD & CD player. Lakeside Lodge has been extensively refurbished over the past 2 years and is regularly maintained to provide a high standard of homely and comfortable accommodation. Your accommodation will be serviced prior to your arrival, we do ask, however that the accommodation is left in a reasonable condition upon departure. In peak season you will need to book early to avoid disappointment. If your looking for somewhere to have loud parties, this is not the place for you. We do ask that our guests respect the peaceful nature of the location. We do not allow smoking inside the lodge and we have a no pets policy for the comfort of all of our guests.
