House 280 euros a week/Sleeps 5
'Sunny House' with 3 bedrooms sleeping 5 is in banana fields 50 metres from the surfing beach in the historic fishing centre of Paul do Mar. The house on 3 floors has bedrooms with terraces with both Atlantic Ocean and mountain views. The village is 10 minutes drive from Calheta the capital town of the region which has a yacht marina, white sand beaches and shopping centres. In Paul do Mar there is free parking, a mini-supermarket, some other shops, a bank with a cash machine, a 4 star hotel, restaurants, cafes and bars. The village has 2 mountain paths to climb up. These were the only land exit and access until a tunnels and roads were built in the 1970'. The village is a centre for many watersports whether its simple fishing, snorkelling, swimming, surfing, windusrfing. There are 2 safe and easy swimming access points one is a slipway with steps and a ladder near Sunny House. Also, the village is one of the sunniest and hottest (see the nearest weather station's 'Lugar de Baixo readings.) Guests should consider besides mountain walks sightseeing such as Prazeres, Jardim do Mar, Ponta do Pargo, Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava. In Prazeres, there is a small zoological park with many animals, a herb garden and tea room run by the Church. Funchal, the capital of Madeira is about 40 minutes drivetime. The international airport about 50 minutes drivetime.
