A traditional stone cottage full of character on the Beara Way, near the Cork/Kerry border. Situated in a peaceful and tranquil setting, surrounded by mountains, with panoramic views of Bantry Bay - an ideal and relaxing base for getting away from the stress and pressure of everyday life - yet only minutes from the facilities and friendly bustle of the local fishing port of Castletownbere, Co. Cork.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 7 with 3 bedrooms, one with single and double bed. The kitchen/diner/sitting room are open plan. The cottage has a shower room downstairs and bathroom upstairs. The cottage is deceptively spacious. If you want a relaxing holiday, then this is the place to be. The 9 hole Berehaven golf course is near Castletownbere. Go horse riding nearby or sailing, canoeing or kayaking in the West Cork Sailing Centre in Adrigole. The Beara Peninsula is one of the most beautiful unspoilt places in Ireland, a favourite haunt for walkers, birdwatchers and those who enjoy uncommercialised natural beauty. Visit the many archaelogical sites dotted around Beara. Other activities available locally include cycling, hill walking, birdwatching, fishing and boat trips. We are on the doorstep of the Cork/Kerry border so the ideal location to explore Cork and Kerry and the rugged coastline. Nearby Castletownbere is a bustling town nestled by the deep water port of Berehaven and is the second largest fishing port in Ireland.

Side view of approach to cottage - The cottage has its own private road. Only minutes drive from main road. Watch the sheep roam around the farm.
View from the cottage - Sit out on the patio and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the interrupted views of Bantry Bay and Bere Island.
View of front of cottage - The cottage is over a hundred years old and has been lovingly restored. There is ample parking for cars.
