Lovely, comfortable apartments are located in Beau Street, a quiet street in the centre of Bath which – as one visitor said – is convenient for everything. And for those who need to stay connected at all times, there is free wireless internet access in the building. Parking is also available.
Sir Nicholas Grimshaw’s stunning new Thermae Bath Spa building is in the same street, Marks and Spencer’s Food Hall is round the corner in Stall Street, and close by are the Roman Baths and Pump Room, Bath Abbey, Sally Lunn’s, shops and pubs. Not far away are John Woods’ architectural gems – the Circus and Royal Crescent – the National Trust’s Assembly Rooms (where Jane Austen danced!), the Theatre Royal and Bath Rugby. Beau Street is 4/5 minutes on foot to the coach and railway stations.
And yet at the same time, from the bedrooms, looking over roof tops, there is a surprisingly rural view of wooded ground rising to Beechen Cliff. The building, which is Grade 2 Listed, dates from the 1790s and is full of character with exposed beams, cast iron fireplaces, an earlier blocked mullion window on the stairs, and some floors with gradient.
All the apartments are light and airy and full of colour and well equipped.
An entryphone connects the front door at street level with each flat.
