The Bunney – Butlocks Heath Village, (Netley Abbey), near Southampton, Hampshire.

The Bunney is in an idyllic location set in the middle of Butlocks Heath village, 'Jewel of the Southern Parishes'. It offers immediate access to the major cities of Southampton, Portsmouth, Winchester and their shopping centres.

This mid-terrace property offers warm, comfortable, well furnished accommodation with plenty of space to relax and unwind. It includes a kitchen fitted with modern appliances, spacious lounge / diner, two bedrooms - Twin & Double (Travel Cot available) and bathroom.

Butlocks Heath Village hosts our General Store and its two pubs, The Cottage (Wadworth) and the Roll Call (Free House). These are all along Woolston Road and within 200 metres.

We are close to the romantic village of Netley (Netley Abbey) with its Neltey Abbey, Netley Castle, Royal Victoria Country Park, with its Heritage Visitor Centre and miniture railway, and Sophie's Pond.

The area has many family attractions, ancient woodlands, wonderful walks, cycle routes and the shore of Southampton Water to explore. Also local Sailing & Yachting Clubs.

The Cottage - Nestled in the picturesque countryside, The Cottage is popular with locals and visitors alike. Open fires make for a cosy atmosphere in winter, while in summertime it's a joy to spend time in the pub's garden. The stunning Victoria Country Park and Hamble Marina are close by, making The Cottage a perfect place to stop for light refreshments when visiting the area. A selection of fine Wadworth beers, wines and soft drinks are available. A quiz is held every Wednesday night at 8.30pm with a meat draw every Sunday lunchtime at 2.30pm.
Royal Victoria Country Park - A great place to unwind - Overlooking Southampton Water, it's a relaxing and safe environment, complemented by a calendar of events, exhibitions and walks. Heritage Visitor Centre - What is now an idyllic country park was once the site of the British Army’s first purpose-built hospital. Miniature Railway - The Royal Victoria Railway has various miniature steam and diesel engines which run along a 1 mile scenic route. Ideal for barbecues - An excellent range of affordable Barbecue facilities. Why not book one of our BBQs and have an enjoyable time out. A great place for the kids - The park has trails and woodland walks, and wide open spaces for children to play safely and run around.
