The Bobbin Mill is a truly special place to visit. Equipped and maintained to the highest standards, it is a wonderful house which suits families and mixed groups alike. Externally the 200 year old character of the building has been carefully retained, internally it is contemporary and stylish and there is not a bit of chintz to be found.
The Mill is a home from home for our guests, and it is furnished and equipped with that in mind.
The kitchen and dining room are the hub of the house making cooking and eating wonderfully social.
After dinner, relax in the living room with its wonderful river view and cosy wood burning stove, before retiring to bed.
The four bedrooms are simply yet stylishly furnished and have very comfortable beds, made up for your visit with fresh, crisply ironed linen, complete with a set of fluffy towels for each guest.
There are an accommodating number of bathrooms - three in all - one on each floor so housemates don't have to queue!
The setting is glorious, sited as it is on the banks of the river Earn. The garden overlooks the river and though the house is less than a mile from the delightful and pretty village of Comrie, the feeling is of being in the deepest countryside.
There are wonderful walks from the Mill in unrivalled scenery, to suit all abilities, from Munroes to easy rambles. Fishing is available from the garden as well as further afield.
The local lanes and roads are great for biking and there are plenty off-road tracks to suit the more adventurous.
Golf is a way of life in Perthshire and there are over 30 courses in the county ranging from Comrie's 9 hole course to the world-class championship courses at Gleneagles, a half hour's drive away.
Watersports are available at Loch Earn.
Perthshire is full of amenities and history and is an area to be enjoyed any time of the year.
Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all easy trips from the village.
Comrie itself is a pretty and typically friendly Scottish village with an excellent range of shops, bars, tearooms and restaurants and is an ideal location for exploring the Scottish Highlands.
