Damson cottage is a private place with its own orchard and a stream meandering through the garden area that is very popular with the Alltybrain Farm ducks! Every window of the cottage has a beautiful view of stunning Welsh countryside and the cottage offers a peaceful retreat for two people wanting a memorable holiday.
Damson cottage has an old flagged stone floor and retains many features from the original cow house. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting area with a comfortable sofa, two armchairs and a colour TV, DVD and Hi-Fi System. French windows open out into the garden area that has garden furniture and a BBQ during the summer months.
The dining area has a table and chairs and the open plan kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, micro-wave, electric cooker, dishwasher, and a washing/drying machine. The cottage is fully centrally heated and the wood burning stove makes the cottage very snug in the winter months. There is a plentiful supply of logs kept in the near-by pig cot where guests can also store their bicycles and walking boots.
Duck Cottage is a delightful barn which has recently been converted into a luxury cottage for two people retaining many of the old features. The cottage is a part of the Alltybrain farmyard and is situated 4½ miles from the historic market town of Brecon. Duck cottage is in a rural area and is surrounded by stunning Welsh countryside and has fabulous views from every window. Comfortably furnished and with a choice of either a super king-size or two generous single beds, this excellently equipped ground floor cottage provides a delightful home-from-home retreat.
Guests can relax in the spacious living room or in the garden/patio area complete with furniture and BBQ and enjoy the views towards the Brecon Beacons. Both the bedroom and living room have French windows leading out onto the sunny patio area. The cottage is fully centrally heated and even during the coldest Winter months Guests can enjoy looking at the spectacular views towards the Brecon Beacons through the large living room window whilst relaxing and being cosy in front of the wood burning stove.
Duck Cottage has Sky TV, DVD, Video player and a Hi Fi System. For those that need to stay in touch there is good mobile telephone reception. The open plan kitchen has a dishwasher, washing/drying machine, fridge, freezer, micro-wave, electric hob and oven. The Tariff includes electricity, heating, linen/towels and wood for the Stove.
