| 01. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE - A lovely period mansion house built by the Colby family over a much older farmhouse. Set in delightful grounds. Sea Views. Period features. Aga, open fires, swings, patio barbeque area, lawns, woodland. Walking distance to the beach and Coastal Path.
01a. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE - This lovely property is in a delightful location, with huge gardens and within walking distance of the sea. 02. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, KITCHEN - Large, farmhouse style, well-equipped kitchen. AGA and bespoke TABLE TO SEAT 12, Gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave etc. 03. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE , RECEPTION 1 - A bright, spacious, dual aspect family room overlooking the front and side garden. TV, DVD, Digibox. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, HALLWAY - The wide hallway oozes character, with arched ceilings, a georgian style dog-leg and gallaried staircase leading to the main bedrooms. There are also servant's stairs, so bring your butler! 07. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, MAIN STAIRS - The beautiful historical features of this house give it a feeling of grandeur yet it is not too large to enjoy as a large family home from home. 08. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, MASTER BEDROOM ENSUITE - This lovely ensuite bathroom has a power shower and a double ended, antique french bath. 09. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, BEDROOM 2 - A lovely room with king sized bed, vanity unit and distant views of the sea. 10. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, FAMILY BATHROOM - This is the family bathroom, but there is also an ensuite on the same floor as well as wash hand basins in two of the other bedrooms. 11. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, TWIN BEDDED ROOM - A lovely room with views over the garden and vanity basin 12. HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, TWIN BEDDED ROOM 2 - Another lovely, bright, twin-bedded room overlooking the garden. HAFOD GROVE GARDENS/PATIO AREA - This sunny corner of the house and garden is a suntrap and the large patio / Barbeque area can be accessed directly from Reception 2 HAFOD GROVE HOUSE, WINTER - Snow in January, still a lovely place to stay. Wrap up warm and walk to the beach and some way along the Coastal Path and then come back and have that casserole that has been slowly cooking in the Aga for hours, in the lovely snug kitchen. Then sit and relax with a brandy in front of a roaring open fire. HAFOD GROVE, CEIBWR BAY - This lovely little cove is less than 1.5 mls from Hafod Grove and both properties and provides a lovely walk via a footpath through the village and back along the lane. It is a popular little local beach for bathing and barbeques. In autumn the cove with it's caves and rocks becomes a little haven for seals and their pups. HAFOD GROVE, PEMBROKESHIRE COASTAL PATH - The Coastal Path is less than 1.5mls away from both properties and so well within walking distance. There are some lovely local footpaths too and maps are supplied in both properties. HAFOD GROVE, THE LANE - This pretty lane leads from both properties down to the sea, in spring it is lined by almost a garden of wild flowers in the hedgerow. There is a lovely footpath route from the village down to the sea. HAFOD VILLA 01 - Sunny, traditional cottage in a delightful, secluded setting within The National Park. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6. Huge garden with swings and BBQ area. Walking distance to the sea and Coastal Path makes Hafod Villa an Ideal Family Holiday Home HAFOD VILLA 02, CONSERVATORY - HAFOD VILLA 02, CONSERVATORY Sunny aspect,with table and chairs and small 3 piece suite as an alternative place to sit and enjoy the garden. Ideal for boots, coats, bikes, toy, buckets and spades and of course dogs! HAFOD VILLA 03, CONSERVATORY - The conservatory is ideal for relaxing and is totally private. HAFOD VILLA 04, SITTING ROOM - Cosy, sunny family room. Comfortably furnished including a log burner, tv, dvd and three piece suite. HAFOD VILLA 05, FULLY FITTED SUNNY KITCHEN. - The open plan kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fan oven, gas hob, fridge freezer etc. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine and upright freezer HAFOD VILLA 06, OPEN PLAN KITCHEN / DINING ROOM - This bright spacious area is ideal for cooking and dining. HAFOD VILLA 07, SUNNY KITCHEN DINING ROOM. - This is a bright and spacious, dog/child, family area with easy clean floor! HAFOD VILLA 08, DOUBLE BEDROOM - A bright, sunny room with lovely garden views. HAFOD VILLA 09, HUGE GARDEN - The cottage has an enormous, gently sloping garden with ideal for children and dogs. There are swings and a large parking area for up to 4 vehicles. Whilst part of a large gentleman's residence originally this secluded and very safe area of garden is very private. The lane runs behind the little woodland so the cottage is set well back from the road down a short, level access, private track. HAFOD VILLA 10, CEIBWR BAY. - This lovely little cove is less than 1.5 mls from Hafod Grove and there is a lovely footpath and circular walk from the cottage. HORSE RIDING - 4 mls. - Crosswell Horse Agency - Horse Riding and Pony Trekking Experienced & complete beginners welcome. 1/2, 1, 2 & 4 hour rides over Preseli hills. Evening pub rides. Own a pony days. Lessons by BHSAI in enclosed sand school. WTRA & WTB approved. Skull caps provided. Footwear with heels if possible or will provide. Booking essential. Trail riding available. Beautiful soft, sandy beach that is the estuary of the River Teifi that flows past Cardigan and St. Dogmaels. A popular beach with a good little cafe, very unspoiled. Ideal for families. zCARN INGLI VIEW - The Presells' offer lovely walking and riding country. Drive up the back of Newport to spare your legs and walk the final heights of Carn Ingli the panoramic views are quite wonderful. zGOLF AT NEWPORT GOLF CLUB - GOLF AT NEWPORT GOLF CLUB Just 4 miles from the house, The Clubhouse is open to non-residents and has wonderful panoramic views over Newport Bay so is a great place for lunch and drinks |
