Set in the popular and beautiful Dumfries and Galloway, Glen Cottage is the ideal base for a relaxing break. There are 2 golf courses close by, Dunskey Golf Club in Portpatrick and Lagganmore just outside Portpatrick. It is in a quiet location just 2 miles from the popular fishing village of Portpatrick where the BBC series '2000 Acres of Sky' film some of the mainland scenes. The fictional 'island', the title for the series, is Port Logan just a few miles down the coast from Portpatrick. Just about a mile down the private road is Knockinaam Lodge Hotel, famed for its unique secluded setting and award winning cuisine.
