Bothy Cottage sleeps 3-5 people and is located in the peaceful village of Dundrennan, near Kirkcudbright. Raised up away from the road, it is situated on ‘The Terrace’ which formed the original road through the village and has views of the hills, farmland and the enchanting ruins of 12th century Dundrennan abbey. Dundrennan is 10 minutes drive from the picturesque Artists’ Town of Kirkcudbright, Dumfries & Galloway. The gently twisting road allows glimpses of the Solway Firth, and on a clear night, even the shimmering lights of Workington across the water in Cumbria. Bothy Cottage is perfectly situated for those wishing to enjoy a quiet, scenic location, convenient for exploring the nearby historic and artistic attractions of Kirkcudbright and the surrounding area. Accommodation comprises 1 double room, 1 single room and a sofa bed which can be utilised to accommodate up to 5 guests in the house. Sorry, no pets. Strictly no smoking. Please note that Bothy Cottage is let for the summer season only, from the beginning of June until the end of September, although bookings can be taken for May and October if requested.
