Grisedale Cottage is a traditional Lakeland cottage which is hidden away in a small community of houses at Grisedale Bridge, midway between Glenridding and Patterdale in the Ullswater valley. The cottage sleeps up to 5 people in comfort and is a real home from home. The cosy lounge has a wood burning stove, TV and DVD player and is ideal for relaxing or planning your next day out. The modern kitchen is well equipped and looks out over the garden. At the back of the cottage is a lovely conservatory with dining table and seating area. This leads into the enclosed garden. The double bedroom with en-suite toilet is on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a twin bedroom, single bedroom and a family bathroom. From Grisedale Cottage there is a wide choice of walks, from the challenging ascent of Helvellyn to gentle valley and lakeshore walks. The Ullswater valley also has some good off-road biking routes and some excellent climbing. Ullswater lake is less than 10 minutes' walk away and offers sailing, motor boats, rowing boats, canoes and kayaking. Pubs, cafes, shops, a National Park Information Centre, petrol station and garage, medical centre, internet cafe and post office are all within walking distance.
