Solway View is located with stunning views over the estuary of River Dee and into the Solway Firth. We have 3 Wooden Wigwams, they are spacious, comfortable and have heating. Ideal for individuals, families and groups for fun holidays and short breaks. Have fridge, Microwave/Grill, Toaster,Kettle and Foam mattresses provided. Bring own sleeping bags & pillows. BBQ area, Campfire area and picnic bench at each wigwam. Covered Cooking Hut and dishwash area. We also have a Camping and Caravanning Cert.Site and welcome Caravans, Tourers and Tents. On the CCC site we take up to 5 Vans and have additional space for Tents. We provide very spacious pitches and have some with Electric Hook-up available. There is a Brick BBQ & Picnic bench with each Van/tourer Pitch. Campfires are allowed on site and fire pits are provided. Very clean WC/Shower block on site. Centrally located in Dumfries & Galloway and we are near beaches, Ross Bay and Brighouse Bay (great Sea Fishing). Working farm with signposted Coastal farm walks and there is also a woodland walk adjoining the farm. Short drive from Kirkcudbright-The Artists Town, Gatehouse of fleet and Castle Douglas -Food town. Ideal base to explore local area.
