We would like you to visit us, either for Bed and Breakfast or on a self catering basis in The Old Piggery.

This is self contained with an ensuite shower room and fully equipped kitchen. The one large studio bedroom has a 5' double bed and a single sofa bed. Although centrally heated, the wood burning stove provides a lovely focal point in colder periods.

The Old Piggery has its own private garden with fantastic views. You can dine outside within the walls of the original pig sty!

Our farm is in the most beautiful countryside and you can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable time here. We have a herd of organic Red Poll Cattle on the farm, our own chickens to produce delicious eggs and home-grown asparagus.

Stonehenge - We are about 15 miles from Stonehenge which is a great attraction for the area. Perhaps those who built Stonehenge also knew our land as recently, 11 bronze age axe heads were found in one of our fields. You walk through history when you come to Cools Farm.

Wardour Castle - The ruined Wardour Castle is only 4 miles from us and makes a good walk.

Longleat House and Safari Park - Going to Longleat is a great day out and is only 15 miles north of us. Your ticket lasts for more than a day so come and stay with us.

Salisbury Cathedral - Salisbury has one of the finest medieval cathedrals in the world. The precinct around the cathedral is also extremely attractive and has several interesting museums. Salisbury itself is a great place to explore and shop.

Our Herd of Red Poll Cattle - Polled cattle are born with no horns. This rare breed is docile and friendly and are outstanding foragers. This means we can feed them on grass in the summer and hay during the winter, not on corn. We sell our beef directly to the customer through our website www.boxbeef.com and to our local organic farm shop at Pyt House.
